Our dedicated staff, psychiatrists and therapists work closely with referring agencies to ensure seamless communication and customized goals for service members. Canyon Ridge Hospital’s treatment continuum includes TRICARE®-accredited programs for U.S. military service members, veterans and dependents.
To honor the sacrifice of these service members and their families, we are dedicated to the delivery of exceptional patient care in treating their psychiatric, emotional, behavioral, cognitive, substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorders.
Our team of highly skilled, compassionate, and trauma-focused clinicians provide a safe environment for military members and family to discuss and overcome the challenges that may arise from the demands of military life.
What We Treat
We incorporate a patient-centered, individual approach to evidence-based intervention options for complex post-traumatic stress disorder, major depression and anxiety.
Upon clinical assessment, we may offer therapeutic interventions based on concepts of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is also incorporated into the treatment for substance use disorders.

Extended 28-Day Track
To better serve our active duty servicemembers, Canyon Ridge Hospital has officially launched an extension of the Patriot Support Program, offering a 28-day track for extended treatment and services. Individual therapy will employ a comprehensive blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT); group therapy will be provided through process groups, psychoeducational groups, art therapy, yoga therapy, and more. With the longer duration of this program, fitness services, nondenominational chaplain services, and cosmetology will be provided for those in this program. Canyon Ridge Hospital is honored to extend our service lines to better suit the needs of our military personnel.
First Responders
First Responders face many challenges and stressors in the line of duty as they dedicate themselves to protecting our community. By extending our 28-Day offerings to First Responders, and through the use of evidence based treatment modalities focused on these unique stressors, our uniformed personnel can form a community of support while maintaining physical and spiritual necessities. Our highly trained therapists and case managers are attuned to the unique stressors, and they will help coordinate all care and communication with each agency’s chain of command for a seamless return to duty.
Dual Diagnosis/Substance Use Disorder VIOP
Our virtual intensive outpatient program (VIOP) treats military members and their families struggling with a mental health disorder and a co-occurring substance use disorder. Typically, this track takes place in person and/or on Zoom for between four to six weeks with patients attending three days a week for a few hours per day.

- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Adult Dual Diagnosis Track Availability: Monday through Friday, 9 am to 1:30 pm.
Adolescent Dual Diagnosis Track Availability: Monday through Friday, 4 pm to 7 pm.
All IOP patients (adolescents or adults) typically meet with a doctor at least one time a month. If patients are PHP, they will attend five days a week and may meet with a provider weekly.
